Converting to LED Lighting

Our Tolleson, AZ and Grand Island, NE, beef, Ottumwa, IA, and Marshalltown, IA, pork, Sumter, NC, chicken and Council Bluffs, IA, Plumrose production facilities converted lighting to light-emitting diode (LED), which resulted in a lighting energy demand reduction of more than 17.6 million kWh and 20.8 lbs. of CO₂e annually. Due to improved light and visibility, we were able to also increase yields, improve team member health and safety and reduce electricity costs by $1.6 million.
